BIO-Logic, Inc. can perform off-season wetland delineations in some cases. In others we offer delineations of probable and potential jurisdictional wetlands to aid project planning until delineations can be finalized and verified during the growing season.

Wetland Science & Delineation

BIO-Logic, Inc. is on the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers preferred consultant list of Wetland Consultants. Jurisdictional wetlands are areas that meet specific vegetation, soil, and hydrology criteria. Jurisdictional Wetlands are regulated jointly by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Wetland definitions and regulations can also vary with other federal and governmental agencies.

Our staff is current on regulation revisions and relies on data collected in the field and compiled from other resources to ensure accurate and complete wetland delineations. We offer permit assistance, mitigation planning, and monitoring. Our thorough reports and good relationship with regulatory officials offer clients the best chances of expedited approvals and permitting.

We offer mapping grade, differentially corrected GPS surveying of delineated wetland boundaries and wetland features with sub-meter accuracy as a cost-saving alternative to a traditional land survey of wetland boundaries.

We also perform non-jurisdictional wetland inventories and assist clients concerned with compliance with local regulations that may differ from Section 10 of the 1899 Rivers and Harbors Act and Section 404 of the Clean Water Act.

Our staff has developed an approved methodology for conducting rapid riparian and aquatic habitat and functional assessment.

Our wetland clients include corporations, engineers, developers, municipalities, U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, utility companies, and private land owners. We can tailor wetland studies and services your specific needs, timeline, and budget.
